I decided to purchase what initially seemed like a ridiculously expensive toilet paper holder for my newly renovated bathroom. But since the bathroom is being furnished exclusively with Kohler plumbing and shower fixtures -- including their Memoirs pedestal sink and faucet -- I decided to take the plunge and purchase this Kohler Memoirs toilet paper holder to complement and reinforce the "Kohler Memoirs" look, feel and quality.The Memoirs toilet paper holder is a very solid piece of equipment, and actually enhances the look and elegance of the bathroom. Fashioned from solid brass, the polished chrome version I purchased does look "stately," and the shiny chrome finish has held up beautifully in the two months I've been using it.The hardest decision I had to make was how high to drill the holes in my subway tiles for a proper height of the toilet paper holder given the height of my elongated "comfort height" Kohler flushometer toilet. In my case, the answer was 30" off the bathroom floor, which required my contractor to replace the original tile that was drilled too low and drilling new holes a few inches up for a correct "reach."I wholeheartedly recommend "The Bold Look of Kohler" that this underappreciated yet essential bathroom accessory projects to the bathroom.Nice color, goes well with other collection items. It's sturdy and we love it, looks great on the wall.Recommend you add silicone , besides the intallation hardware, hen you put it on the wall or you will notice it swivels slightly after a year of use and the corners scratch the tile.
